Raven

Raven is a black cotton midi dress with bell sleeves, a lace-edged high collar and ruffles running down the front – Victorian in its lines, darkly romantic in mood, and made to be worn in real life rather than as a costume. It is fully lined in cotton, closes with a concealed zip and has pockets.

The details

The centre front is smooth black cotton framed by two rows of ruffles. The sides, skirt and sleeves are made of black eyelet cotton, with lace insertions running along the sleeves and just above the cuffs. A band of lace marks the seam where the skirt meets its deep ruffled hem.

The cut

A fitted bodice with a high collar, a full gathered skirt that ends at mid-calf and long sleeves that flare at the wrist. The cotton lining makes the dress comfortable against the skin through autumn, winter and cool spring days.

How to wear it

With lace-up boots and silver jewellery for autumn walks and candlelit dinners, or under a long wool coat in winter. It belongs to gothic, witchy and whimsigothic wardrobes and to dark cottagecore.

Raven was designed by Camilla, the founder of Bedra Vintage, and is cut and sewn in our atelier in Poland in sizes XS–XXL. Like every Bedra Vintage piece, it draws on art, history and old clothing.

This garment is crafted from 100% cotton. 

COTTON CARE

• Wash at 30°C on a gentle or delicate cycle.
• Use a mild detergent suitable for delicate or coloured fabrics.
• Wash separately during the first two washes to protect the colour.
• Do not bleach.
• Use a gentle spin cycle and remove the garment promptly after washing.
• Reshape while damp and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight.
• Do not tumble dry, as heat may cause the cotton to shrink.
• For the best result, iron the garment inside out at a medium temperature while it is still slightly damp.
• Always follow the care instructions attached to your garment.

This garment is made from non-stretch fabric and is not intended to fit tightly. We recommend allowing a little extra room through the bust and waist. If your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.
